Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. We are well as we enter the fall season. Cori and the kids started homeschooling early in August this year to get ahead as we look forward to a busy fall season. Grant is a senior, Blake is a junior and Savanna is in 6th grade. It is amazing how quickly our children are growing, and we are excited to see them mature not just physically, but mentally, spiritually and socially.
August at the church here is family month, and Pastor Matt has been guiding the church through biblical principles for the family. We have also had special activities including a family activity after church last Sunday. The activity included dinner on the grounds and activities outside for all. God has blessed the church with many families and we know that
He wants to strengthen those families to be lights in this community.
Our partnership with Medical Mission’s Outreach has some exciting news about new ways to minister to patients. For many years during the general medical brigades we have seen optical patients who are in great need of cataract surgery. A procedure like this is not available in the public health system and so for many of these patients it simply means a loss of vision. Because of this need, MMO has been looking for a way to minister to these patients. In December of last year they began the process of seeking a donation for specialized surgical equipment for cataract surgery and in August received the donation of that exact equipment. We are now working hand in hand with MMO to assist in the customs and importing processes. We hope to have paperwork approved soon so that they can get the equipment shipped without additional importation taxes and that it will arrive without much complication. I believe the goal would be to plan a specific surgical team for next year that would target this needed segment of patients. Please pray that God will guide us through each step. We are also preparing for this year’s 5th surgical team, that will arrive the first week in October. In preparation we have patients coming on campus throughout the month for initial screening and history and physicals. Please pray that even in these initial days of contact with the patients that we would be a clear representation of Christ’s love, laying the groundwork for presenting the gospel during the surgical week.

PRAYER REQUESTS
- Praise the Lord for the donations of equipment for cataract surgery, and pray for the smooth importation of the equipment.
- Pray for the next surgical team and our preparations this month for that ministry week in October.
- Please continue to pray for God’s blessings on Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult back in Florida.
- Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessings as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.
