The Mortensons' June Letter

June 2024

Dear Family and Friends,

Wow, the time seems to be flying. It is hard to believe that we are already at the beginning of another month. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We count it a great privilege to be partnered together to spread the good news of salvation in Jesus.

Thank you also for your prayers for Mykenzie and I, as I took her to Kentucky the first week of May. She is enjoying living with my parents and working a summer job at the AiG Creation Museum. Cori and I have been saying how strange it seems that she is old enough to be thinking about life after high school and we are missing her at home. But we are so thankful for this opportunity and are so encouraged by the way that Mykenzie is maturing and growing. The whole family is looking forward to August when we reunite. This summer is just the soft separation but after she finishes her senior year it will be strange as we watch our first child leave the nest. We’re praying that the Lord will continue to guide her as she makes Him the center of her life.

This month we are gearing up for the big Medical Missions Outreach medical brigade. Please join us in praying for each patient that will come through the clinic. This year’s medical team consists of 6 medical providers, plus the vision team, physical therapist, and soul care (mental health) counselors. We will be in a very good, central location in town and are hoping to see 2000 or more patients over 4 days. Please pray for strength for the team as we are in the hot, hot days of early summer. Please also pray for the patients that we will minister to. Our desire is to see many trust Christ as their personal Savior. Please also be praying for our church members who will be the ones witnessing to the patients as they go through the clinic site. Also be in prayer for MMO who will be in 3 other churches in other parts of Honduras throughout the month of June. May the Lord bless these ministry opportunities in each location.

Thank you again for your partnership in prayer. May the Lord bless you all in your lives and ministries.
