February 2025
Dear Family and Friends,
We hope that you are enjoying the blessings of the Lord as we begin this new year. Thank you for your faithful partnership in prayer for our family and ministry. I think that I always expect January to be more relaxed time after the bustle of the Christmas season, but it seems that January flies by faster than any other month.
Part of the business of January is always getting organized for some of the bigger events in the church calendar. The first event annually is always our Come Away conference. We host this conference for the enrichment of English speaking missionaries here in the Central American region. The conference has just finished up this morning and we were so encouraged by fellowship with friends we seldom get to see, and by the spiritual nourishment from the Word of God. This year’s special speaker was Dr. Dave Young (he has been an evangelist for many years and just took a pastorate in Poplar Bluff, MO). He and his wife Bethlie were a tremendous blessing and encouragement to all in attendance. In years past our guest speaker’s wives have not always had the availability to attend the conference. So with Bethlie present we were able to organize the conference to include split sessions targeting the spiritual needs for both the men and the women.
The next big ministry event on our calendar is our first surgical team for 2025. The partnership with Medical Missions outreach is such a blessing and privilege. The surgical team will arrive on the 28th of February and we are working in preparation for that team. Would you please be in prayer with us for this week of outreach? Pray for each medical team member, the Honduran volunteers, and for the government clearances that we need to operate and purchase needed medications. Please also pray for each patient. We desire to be used of God to not only meet a physical need in their lives, but also to introduce them to the Great Physician who has provided for their salvation.
Thank you again for your faithful prayer for our family and ministry.

PRAYER REQUESTS
- Please pray for the upcoming MMO surgical week. May God use the open door of medicine to reach each patient with the message of the Gospel.
- Please continue to pray for our residency process. We are hoping that the pause for paperwork last fall will not hold us back too much and that we will have our new visas early this year.
- Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessing as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.
