The Mortensons' April Newsletter
April 2025
Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. We have a big praise to share. Over the last 13 months we have been in the application process to renew our residency visas. On March 15th we received word that we were finally approved for the permanent residency! We went in the next week and completed necessary paperwork and should be receiving our Honduran ID cards as early as next week. We truly are thankful for the Lord’s blessing in this process.
Last month I wrote about our first surgical team for 2025, thank you for your prayers. We were able to assist 15 patients and all are recovering nicely from their procedures. We are thankful for the spiritual impact and trust that the Lord to continue to water the seed of His Word. Next week (April 7th-10th), we will be hosting our second surgical team and are again thankful for the opportunity to minister to more patients both physically and spiritually. We will have 2 surgeons working simultaneously and so hope to meet needs for about 30 patients. Please be praying for the Lord to use this ministry to draw people to Himself. Also, If you are a Surgeon or nurse, would you consider serving in a future surgical team? We would love to put you in contact with MMO to find out more about using your gifts for ministry.
As a Church, we are also excited about how the Lord is working. We have had good attendance for our church services, including first time visitors for several of the services this past month. Our prayer is that God would continue to draw people to Himself as we are faithful to lift Him up. Coming up this month we will be emphasizing World missions and giving to help spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. This past year as a church we have seen God faithfully meet our need in faith promise giving and we trust that He will enable us to grow our giving in the year ahead. We will be having two missionaries from Central America present their call to the field (outside of Central America). It is our desire to be able to support these new laborers that the Lord has called.
PRAYER REQUESTS
