Romans 10:14-15
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

July was packed full of going and serving. We started off helping out at Venture of Faith Camp in South Georgia installing another awning and pulling wire for a new power panel. There is much more to be done on going and as we have a day here and there can make quick trips to help where needed. On July 4th our family got to do an outreach at a local car show getting out a lot of gospel tracts and many gospel conversations with the people attending. A few church members came out to help and one of the brothers did lead someone to the Lord. At the end of the day, we won first place in the mud truck division and got to participate in the parade. It’s been several years since we did any of that type of thing and it really helped building relationships in the community. Some of the other families want to put together a car show type outreach in the coming months here in our area.

A young man in the church and I traveled to Long Island Bahamas for several days. This trip was a little different than my last few. We drove a couple hours to the airport, then flew to one island, took a cab to the government dock, took a ferry a couple hours to another island, rented a car and traveled to our apartment. A lot of the Lord’s timing to make all the connections and dodge weather issues. We had two days of witnessing and handed out hundreds of gospel tracts and dozens of gospel conversations with cab drivers and waiters and business owners and ferry boat captains and people at grocery stores and gas stations. The people are very open and receptive and know a lot of bible but many do not know Jesus as Savior. Two men stick out to me the most Walter our first cab driver and Nathan our waiter. Both in church most of their lives and a lot of knowledge but no clear testimony of bible salvation and had never heard the term born again. We got to teach CPR and first aid in the local Baptist church annual convention. There are two small clinics on the island but rarely anyone there with basic life support training and the nearest hospital is on another island hours away. There were many pastors there and from several different islands. We have been invited back to do more training needed in the churches there. We were able to meet with ten pastors and church leaders on putting together several outdoor men’s activities to bring men in to first hear the gospel and then compel them to get back into the churches. Our next trip is planned for the end of October and hopefully get to follow up on some of the people we witnessed to.

The churches that we are helping with their construction projects are making some progress and moving forward. Victory Springs is getting the stucco going on the drive through entrance. The materials have been ordered and the scaffold is all set up. Rain almost every day has the workers behind on other jobs and they plan to start on the application as soon as they get caught up. We picked up the doors and frames and hardware for Grace Bible Baptist and plan to deliver and install them in the next week or so Lord willing and weather permitting. Vision Baptist has had to find another structural engineer to finalize their plans for permitting and are on hold for a little while longer.
Our house is the same story. We closed on the land and got the survey done. We put the deposit on the building package and paid for structural engineering. Now we wait on the building plans to be finalized and the land clearing guys to get caught up from all the rain to start on ours. There were some opportunities for disaster relief with hurricane Beryl but could not deploy because of already being in the Bahamas. We have been able to coordinate some efforts through phone calls and e mails getting help to those in need on several Caribbean islands.

There is always plenty to do in the service of our Lord and King and we count it our pleasure and reasonable service to do what we can where we are with what we have. Thank you each and every one for all you do in partnering with us we are grateful and are so encouraged. To God be all the honor and glory and praise!!!
