Philippians 2:16
This past week I was having a rough go of it. Freezing temperatures in North Florida froze our well multiple times. No water at all and then no hot water for a few days. Everything we are a part of is growing and at a faster pace than we can keep up with at times. We love it and are so thankful we can be a small part of God’s kingdom work. And then there is hearing from churches that we are not real missionaries because we are not planting churches overseas. Well then – in God’s perfect timing I got an encouraging message from a young man that is kind of an adopted son. He said, “We have been studying the book of Nehemiah in Sunday school and we are learning it was not just about building the walls, but about creating a place where God’s people could gather, and grow, and be safe. Years from now there will be people and families in the church because of the building and the faithful labor your family invested. “- more wind in our sail to go onward and forward.
We started off the year serving alongside the staff at Venture of Faith Camp in south GA. We finished demo of the last damaged metal roofing and framed a deck and set posts and beams and knee walls and rafter patterns for the next group of workers. This is the last building to be rebuilt from the hurricane and will be the camp office and store. With that Bethany has signed her contract and will be summer staff for camps and conferences.
The training center continues to grow. We added one more instructor and now have a total of five. We are continuing to pray and seek God’s direction on the opportunity to partner with a local church and add a second location in another state. The details are all coming together and God appears to be putting his team in place. We traveled to Tallahassee, FL to train Gospel Light Baptist in active shooter response. The class was a lot of fun and was so good to see one of our long time supporting churches.
The four church projects we are helping with are all making forward progress. At Victory Springs Ind Baptist we are hanging drywall with the men of the church. Some guys can carry, some can install screws, and some can clean up. It’s all needed and all help get it done. The AC guys are installing the transition ductwork and prepping to install the 4 air handlers. We had the flow test on the City fire main and have approval to tie in verses installing a pressurized ground tank. This is a huge answer to prayer. Vision Baptist is working on interior finishes and installing plumbing and electrical fixtures. They had their parking and paving done and are real close to being all done. They have scheduled their dedication service and we are planning to be there for that. Grace Bible Baptist got their revised drawings approved and picked up for the sewer changes. This has allowed them to get back in motion and missionary builders are scheduled to arrive in the next couple of weeks to start finishing up where they can. We still have to get the exterior doors and frames installed soon. At Victory Baptist Perry, FL the interior framing is almost done. Electricians and AC guys are installing the rough in wiring and ductwork. The plumbers will do their rough ins this week, too; next thing will be to get everything inspected and spray the foam insulation.
Allot going on. Allot of moving parts. Allot of workers needing to hear the gospel. We can go. We can work and tell. We need prayers constantly for safety in traveling and things on the projects to get done correctly and in a way that honors God. That we walk in the spirit as issues come up and have to be worked through. Thank you each and every one for your care of our family and entrusting us with the gospel and being the hands and feet of Jesus as we go about.

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.
