Luke 18:26-27
All can be saved according to the scriptures. We believe the scriptures teach a “whosoever” gospel and we work toward that end. We get to tell others about the love of God and His free gift of salvation. We get to share how that Christ died for our sins, and was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures. We get to serve God and others in a full-time vocational capacity. We love what we do and the little part we get to play in God’s kingdom work in a variety of areas in our Jerusalem and some other zip codes and time zones.
It’s been so rewarding watching our kids plug in to ministry. Bethany finished up her internship at Venture of Faith camp in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. She did well there, serving as a utility person filling in wherever needed and learning to work on a team and be a self-starter. As we understand it 120 young people trusted Christ as Savior through the camp efforts and we are so thankful Bethany chose to go and serve and take part in that.
Jon has been working on putting together his first sermon to preach in the near future. After surrendering to missions, we have had many conversations of studying and preparing for the work while he is still young and has plenty of time. He has been helping me a lot with some of the projects we are working on and has been with me a few times doing outreach and discipleship. I pray he will catch fire and burn on for the Lord more and more as he grows.
We have been real busy helping with the church construction projects. Grace Bible Baptist received permission from the county officials to install a septic tank and abandon their sewer line. This is huge for them and will get the church back on track and moving forward. Vision Baptist got their interior framing all done and other trades scheduled for their rough ins. Victory Baptist in Perry, FL got their concrete slab poured and the porches. The metal building manufacturing is finalizing the details and will start production right away. We will get everything prepped and ready for the building when it arrives. Victory Springs Independent Baptist has all the paperwork turned in to the bank for the construction loan. The bank says the funds should be released in a month or so and we are contacting all the sub-contractors and putting a rough schedule together. We are praying to be finished in a year or less. We have not made much progress on our warehouse but did get 10 of the 14 posts set.
We traveled to Bible Baptist in Palm Harbor twice this month to re-certify the churches safety team and youth workers in CPR and first aid. We have 2 churches scheduled for active shooter/violence emergency response training in the next few weeks. We are planning our next short-term trip to the Caribbean for some time in September as the churches there get us the details.
Hurricane season is well underway and mostly quiet so far. There have been a few opportunities to coordinate relief efforts in Texas and North Carolina for flooding, but making some phone calls and sending some messages were enough to get supplies and help where needed without deploying.
To God be the Glory for all he is doing, while we are mostly in his way. Thank you each and every one for your prayers and encouragement, for your partnerships and gifts. We are grateful and so appreciative to be in His service with you.

Luke 18:26-27
And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
