The Mortensons' November Outlook

November 2026

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your faithful prayers for our family and ministry. God continues to show Himself faithful in our lives. October seemed to fly by and it always amazes me how quickly we are knocking on the door of the Christmas season and the end of the year. Thank you also for your prayers for the October surgical team. It was a blessed week of ministry. A blessing both in being able to minister to the patients, but also a blessing serving together with such a great team. The surgical team consisted of 2 general surgeons and the supporting medical staff many of which were first-time team members at the Rearick Surgical Center. Even with many new faces, the team quickly oriented themselves to the facilities and there was a sweet spirit and harmony as we all ministered together. The team was able to perform 37 surgical procedures over the4 days, and we were able to share the gospel with more than 50 people (patients and family members). There were several spiritual decisions made as we ministered spiritually to each patient, and we trust that God will bring full fruit in time as a result of this planting and watering.

As we enter November, we are preparing for the last surgical team of the year which will arrive here in Honduras on the 13th. This last team will be comprised of a foot surgeon and a general surgeon and the supporting medical providers. Please be praying for God to bless our preparation and to prepare hearts to hear the good news of salvation in Jesus. Medicine truly is a wonderful avenue through which to share about God’s love and redemptive plan. We anticipate that He will do a great work again as we desire to glorify Him.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers, and may we be the first to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving.

PRAYER REQUESTS
  • Praise the Lord for a great October surgical team and pray for the next surgical team as they arrive in just a couple of week: may God use us as a team to exalt Christ and minister both healing and the gospel to the patients.
  • Please continue to pray for God’s blessings on Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult back in Florida.
  • Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessings as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.

From Honduras,
Nate and Cori with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna
