The Mortensons' Notes for May 2026
May 2026
Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings from Kentucky. Thank you for your partnership in prayer. We are stateside for a few weeks reporting in several churches and visiting family. We are truly encouraged as we reconnect with churches in person. The encouragement comes not only because we are sharing about what the Lord is doing in Honduras, but also because we get to see what the Lord is doing here in the States. God is good!
The fact that we now have an adult child living in the States is new territory for Cori and me. We are so proud of how Mykenzie is growing and maturing. Grant just finished his junior year of high school and it is crazy to think that next year he, too, will be moving out of our home. Again, we are proud of the young man that he is becoming. From May to August, Grant will be staying with family and working a summer job. Please pray for him and this opportunity that the Lord has opened for him. We are already looking forward to his return to Honduras in August.
In all reality, we have a lot packed into this three week trip. We are trying to see as much family as we can in a short period of time. The first stop was Florida where we got to see Mykenzie and Cori’s sister as well as an annual endocrinologist appointment for Blake. Next up: Kentucky where we are visiting my parents and will then head to Indiana for two days to see several of my siblings, nieces and nephews. Finally, we will return to Florida and get to spend a little more time with Mykenzie as well as see Cori’s parents who are driving over from Texas. Please pray for safety on the roads and God’s blessings at each stop.
PRAYER REQUESTS
In Christ,
Nate and Cori with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna

PRAYER REQUESTS
- Please pray for Grant as he is working a landscaping job and living with family this summer.
- Please continue to pray for God’s blessings on Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult back in Florida.
- Please also pray for Cori and I as we trust the Lord through this new stage of life.
- Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessings as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.
In Christ,
Nate and Cori with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna
