The Mortensons for March
March 2026
Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for faithfully praying for our family. We hope that you are well and enjoying the blessings of God in your lives and churches. February has been a busy but good month. We started it off with a visit from Cori’s parents. It was fun to have them visit again after a couple of years of not being able to come because of Cori’s grandparent’s health. Shortly after their visit, we had the opportunity to serve with a neighboring ministry who invited me to come and preach for their Valentine’s Day couple’s activity. It was a privilege to share truths of God’s design for marriage. It was also encouraging to see how the Lord is at work in another part of Honduras.
Also, throughout the month of February, we have been busy getting ready for this year’s first surgical team that we will host at the Rearick Surgical Center. Preparation for these teams is always a multifaceted task. From applying for temporary Honduran medical licensing for the US medical team, and properly documenting controlled medications that will be transported with the team as they arrive, to prepping the facilities and making sure all of our medical equipment is ready to go and fully functional, God continues to show Himself faithful in supplying all that we need right on time. The medical providers just arrived two days ago and have already completed the pre-op consultations, confirming the schedule for the patients this week. Please be praying for this team of medical professionals as they serve and minister this week. For several of them, this is their first time serving with us and so need God’s blessing as they learn the facilities quickly. Please also be praying for us as a church, as we join this medical team and minister alongside them. Through the open door that medicine provides we desire to minster both physically and spiritually. Each member of the team allows us to communicate God’s great love, but we must depend on the Holy Spirit to work in hearts as we share the good news of forgiveness of sin. Sharing this good news truly is a wonderful privilege and awesome responsibility. Thank you again for your love and prayers.

PRAYER REQUESTS
- Please be praying for this first surgical team as we minister together. Praying for successful surgeries and receptive hearts to the gospel.
- Please continue to pray for God’s blessing on Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult back in Florida.
- Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessing as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes. February 16th marks 4 years since his diagnosis, and we praise God for His faithfulness in our lives.
