Ephesians 1:15-16
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

Our faith and love do not earn us a spot in the Lord’s work but rather our faith and love in the work is evidence. In the Lord Jesus and to the saints, love for Gods people and his work. Our prayers and giving and going and participation all walked out in shoe leather is seen and tells our story; all this so that the work may continue.

We are very thankful for all of those in our midst that are servants. In the body of Christ every single part is vital to overall work of God. June was very profitable. We continued to serve at the Who Will Go and Beyond Borders camps in Lineville, AL. Our small part was to train young people in practical skills, help with medical issues that came up, serve in the kitchen and with cleaning, and Jon got to be a shadow team lead. On the Who Will Go side we taught stop the bleed and basic carpentry and camp set up. At the end of camp, we worked as an embassy clerk in a mock up town where a skills use scenario took place. The campers got to put all their skills learned to use in a controlled but realistic mass casualty event. They did pretty good with all the explosions and smoke and sirens and people yelling. A lot of places we find ourselves in missions this would be a normal Wednesday. A help to prepare some that are going to the uttermost in the future. At Beyond Borders we had a team of instructors teaching the campers how to kill and butcher animals, primitive camp set up, cooking and cleaning and washing, water purification, escape and evade techniques, wilderness first aid, and active violence response. These campers all received certifications in CPR/first We officially partnered with Heritage Baptist Ministries in Picayune, MS a couple of weeks ago adding training center number 2 to the mix. We had our first zoom meeting with the curriculum provider and have scheduled our new instructor training for July 23. We are so looking forward to this addition to the other hats we wear. Our warehouse/training building has been on hold for a while as we can only do so much. We have been working on it a little here and there and Lord willing will pour the concrete floors this Friday. We would love to get it at least walled up before this year’s storms begin. With the church building almost complete we can’t aid/AED, wilderness first aid, and active violence response. I got tackled and disarmed a few times by the young people.

Bethany and Jon have been able to serve at camps for the last several weeks. Bethany continues to be on summer staff at Venture of Faith camp in GA. She is a utility girl doing whatever comes up. Serving in the kitchen or the snack shack or working the petting zoo and even got her lifeguard certificate to work at the pool when the girls swim. Jon got to be a grunt for a couple of weeks doing whatever he was asked and did a great job too. Bethany has several more weeks of camp then back home until the next service opportunity comes up. Jon has been able to help out at several church members houses lending a hand and do some work on the church projects.

The building project at Victory Springs Ind Baptist is moving along. All of the flooring and doors and trim work have been delivered. Most of the electrical and heating and air are installed and working. The trim work and doors are being painted and installed by church volunteers. Back to that verse talking about faith and love. We got the platform done and the sound booth and the baptistery area all framed and the finishes are next. We plan to be substantially complete on or before Sept 11. The site work and parking areas and underground utilities are all scheduled and some are happening even now. Won’t be long now but have to stay after it.

With the church building almost complete we can’t use it as a supply hub for the disaster relief supplies and need a place for that part soon. It will be a huge blessing having a designated area set aside for that part of the work. Things have been crazy busy and we are loving it. To God be the glory!!!
