John 15:5
We know all too well the results or lack of results when we try to do God’s work on our own and not fully relying on him to guide and provide. Servants must be in step with their master and do the work he has for them as he shows the when where and how he wants things accomplished. The end result is lives changed, souls saved, and local churches growing and going.
January 2025, we started out working in Georgia at Venture of Faith Camp for a few days. This camp was severely damaged during hurricane Helene back in August. The rest of the trees were taken down and every building had extensive damage. All metal roofs will have to be replaced and many of the buildings will need interior work too. It is our pleasure to help out when we can a day or two here and there. We will go back in a couple of weeks and help out with their two day men’s conference as a firearms safety officer too.
The church construction projects we are helping out with are mostly moving forward. Victory Springs Independent Baptist had all of the interior metal stud framing done this month. Now we are pricing out the drywall and drop ceilings. We still wait for the final decision from the Lasko foundation on the grant that was applied for. If that grant gets approved this project will take off and be moving a lot quicker. This church started the building process in April of 2019 and they are ready to get it done and moved in.
Vision Baptist in Crestview, FL after having received their permit has been busy getting surveys and selecting sub-contractors and signing contracts and paying deposits. The foundation dirt work should begin in the next week or so and then the foundation and the steel erectors are all lined up. The highway entrance and driveway are also in the works. They should have a dried in shell pretty quick.
Victory Baptist of Perry, FL has paid for their metal building package and is in the permitting process still. We continue to get bids on the trade work and make decisions on who will do all the different parts. We have a foundation crew and several others contracted and will get going soon as the permit is in hand.
Grace Bible Baptist in Pensacola is on hold for now as funds come in for the next steps. We will meet a drywall contractor and ceiling installer next week to get pricing for those next things and be ready when that time comes.
Our next short-term trip to the Bahamas is scheduled for the end of March and we are working out the details of our itinerary. We plan to work on two neighboring islands doing training in first aid/CPR, wilderness survival, and disaster response and relief. We will have time set aside for evangelism and do a men’s outreach on each island.
The Training Center continues to inch along. We signed up two new students this month. One is a veteran missionary and the other a missionary candidate. They are enrolled in the system and working through the prerequisites before starting on a specific trade. We made some progress on our metal barn house. The shell was installed and dried in last week. We installed the windows and doors and framed the interior walls. Next is install the ceiling joists then the electrician and plumber and heating and air sub-contractors can begin their rough-ins. We have some momentum and need to keep it going and get done quickly to keep all the other commitments going. We love what the Lord has us doing and it’s not really like work most of the time. Thank you each and every one for the part you play in these kingdom efforts. We are grateful!!!

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
