The Mortensons' August '25 Letter
August 2025
Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers for our family. July has flown by and we have been busy with many wonderful ministry opportunities. To start off the month we helped to host another MMO surgical team. That was a blessed week serving together. We are thrilled to report that as a result of the week, not only were the patients ministered to physically but also 6 people (some patients and others family members) made professions of faith in Jesus! Please continue to pray for physical recovery and spiritual growth as we follow up and continue ministering.
Also in July, we hosted our annual teen conference and each night was very well attended by almost 200 teens from 7 area churches. Not only was the teen conference a success in the good attendance and competition amongst the teens, but also because many made spiritual decisions. Eight made professions of faith in Jesus and many others committed to a greater commitment to their personal discipleship and spiritual growth. It was also a blessing to have a teen group from our sending church in Florida. God is at work in this generation of teens and the visiting group was impacted by their time here, seeing the mission field up close. Please pray with us for this generation of Christians who are very quickly growing into servants and young leaders in their local churches.
Finishing out the month we are getting ready to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Iglesia Bautista El Faro (our church here). It is truly amazing to see all that God is doing and anticipating what He will do in the future of the church. May He be glorified in all things. Thank you again for your faithful prayers for us.
