November News: The Mortensons

November 2025

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for faithfully praying for our family and ministry. We are so thankful to be partnered with each one of you for the sake of the Gospel. We are well into the fall rainy season here in Honduras and so that means some relief from the heat, but not the humidity. The more frequent rain makes some of our ministry outreach more sporadic but we have been busy none the less. In the first part of October, through the partnership with the Medical Missions Outreach’s surgical team, we were able to provide surgical procedures to 31 patients and present the gospel to each one of them. We praise the Lord for the opportunity to minister to each patient and for the 2 people who made professions of faith during the surgical week! As a church we will soon be visiting many of these patients in their homes as they continue to recuperate from surgery and we hope to continue the gospel conversations.

As I write this email there is another surgical team that is flying in for our last week of surgeries for this calendar year. Please be praying for the team as they serve here with us. Our team consists of a Podiatrist (foot surgeon) and an Orthopedist as well as support medical personnel. On the physical level, we hope to make a large impact in the daily lives of each patient. But our focus is also the spiritual need of each patient, and we hope that through both action and testimony, they will know the love of the Great Physician. Please join us in praying for God to use all for His Glory.

PRAYER REQUESTS
  • Pray for the surgical team and the gospel presentations that it will create.
  • Please continue to pray for God’s guidance for Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult.
  • Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessing as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.

From Honduras,
Nate and Cori with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna.
