Dear Friends and Supporters,

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

We are truly grateful for your continued prayers, love, and faithful support. The past few months have been both encouraging and challenging, yet through it all, the Lord has proven Himself faithful.

First, we praise the Lord for His goodness regarding Rodrigo’s health. He recently had his PSA check following his prostate surgery, and the results look good! We give God all the glory for this encouraging report. Please continue to pray as he will undergo another PSA test in three months, trusting the Lord for continued good results.

March: Old-Fashioned Camp Meeting

We jumped right into ministry upon returning to the Philippines as we hosted our Annual Old-Fashioned Camp Meeting. We were honored to have Rev. Rick Aldridge of First Baptist Church of Conestee, SC, as our guest speaker. He did a tremendous job challenging us from the Scriptures.

His wife, Mrs. Crystal Aldridge, was also a great blessing as she led a Women’s Conference that was well attended by pastors’ wives, policewomen, single mothers, and young ladies.

We were also blessed by the presence of Allen and Edlyn Fulfer and their children, Allaena and Dillan Gray, who were a great encouragement to the ministry. Dillan had opportunities to preach in several services, including during our jail ministry. Our AMAGOH Sports Ministry, under the leadership of our son Tim Valbuena, continues to open doors for reaching young people with the Gospel.

April: Vacation Bible School Outreach

During the month of April, we traveled to our mission churches conducting Vacation Bible Schools. Our daughter and son in law, Hannah and Ruel, facilitated all seven of the VBS’s as well as the Summer Junior Camp and Back to School Bash where we were able to give out school bags filled with school supplies. Over the summer and through the activities thousands of young people hear the gospel. This last week of summer, the Pensacola Christian College Summer Missions Team, led by Bro. Alex Fulfer and Sis. Anajay Fulfer blessed the ministry by their presence. Their help and dedication were a tremendous blessing, as always, in reaching many people with the Gospel.

May: Anniversary, Missions, and Souls

In May, we celebrated our Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, followed by our 38th Church Anniversary. Our longtime friend and ministry partner, Evangelist Johnny Riley, preached and did an excellent job encouraging our people.

This was followed by a three-night Mission Conference that stirred our hearts once again for the work of reaching souls. We thank the Lord that we were able to add two more missionaries this year! We now support 11 missionaries, and we praise God that eight of them are homegrown, trained through our Subic Bay Bible Institute.

Children’s Ministry & Outreach

Despite ongoing challenges, especially concerning the Subic Bay Children’s Home, the Lord continues to work. We have learned that there are government efforts to de-institutionalize many children’s homes in the Philippines. While we have com[1]plied with requirements, we are facing scrutiny due to our Christian convictions.

However, we are encouraged that several key individuals— including a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, congressmen, and the Commission on Human Rights—are supporting and vouching for our ministry. We are trusting that “this too shall pass” and that God will continue to protect His work.

In the meantime, we are focusing on our weekly street children outreaches. Every Sunday, we bring these children to church for Sunday School and worship services. It is a joy to see them hear and respond to the Gospel.

Family Update

We are thankful to see our children faithfully serving the Lord. Hannah and her husband are actively leading our youth ministry, which is growing and thriving. Tim and his wife, Bianca are serving full-time, leading the music and sports ministries. Sam recently graduated from Abeka Academy—praise the Lord! He is now training in welding and carpentry with the men of the church. Our youngest, Elizabeth, is faithfully helping in our Saturday feeding ministry. It is truly a blessing to see our children laboring alongside us in the ministry.

Looking Ahead

Though we face spiritual battles and discouragements, we are reminded daily that the Lord is on the throne. The work continues, souls are being reached, and lives are being changed for eternity. Thank you for standing with us through your prayers and support. We could not do this without you.
