The Mortensons Begin June 2026

June 1, 2026

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and partnership with us. God is good! We had a great trip back from the States on May 12th and jumped right back into ministry here in Honduras. May flew by as we prepared for upcoming outreach and ministry opportunities. The first of those includes a visiting teen group from PCC’s Campus Church. They will be with us for our annual youth conference starting, June 4-6. We are anticipating about 200 teenagers from as many as 8 other local churches. Some of those churches will come from over an hour away, so please be praying for safety for all those attending. Please also pray for God to use this conference to help build the faith of the believers and opening the eyes of the unbelievers.

Not only have we been preparing for youth conference, but we have also been getting ready for our 3rd MMO surgical team. This team will be comprised of two general surgeons and the supporting medical providers who will arrive here on June 19th. We are anticipating a great ministry week, June 22nd-25th. Again, please be praying for all of the logistical preparation, but most importantly for God to prepare hearts to hear the Gospel. The same week Medical Missions Outreach is also going to be bringing two general clinic teams to two other missionary efforts in other parts of Honduras. While we are not directly connected with these additional gospel outreaches we also pray for God’s blessing on every aspect and for souls to be saved throughout Honduras as a result of the open door medicine provides.

As we closed out the month of May we marked some special milestones for our family personally. Both remind us of God’s faithfulness and blessings in our lives. On May 27th Cori and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary! The years really have flown by and we are so thankful for the Lord’s blessing in our marriage. Then May 29th marked 8 years since we moved to Honduras to begin ministry here. Again we are amazed at how quickly the time has passed and at all that God has done in and through our lives. We are truly humbled by His goodness and thankful for your partnership with us, both prayerfully and financially.

PRAYER REQUESTS
  • Please pray for our youth conference, that God would use it to build the faith of these young people.
  • Please pray for Medical Missions Outreach and the opportunities they enable for gospel ministry.
  • Please continue to pray for God’s blessings on Mykenzie as she makes independent steps as an adult back in Florida.
  • Thank you for continuing to pray for the Lord’s blessings as we grow in our understanding of Type 1 Diabetes.

In Christ,
Nate and Cori with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna
