2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Giving is where it’s at. It is better to give than receive says Jesus himself. Giving of our time and talents and treasure. Often times giving blesses us more than the one getting. Because of your partnerships and giving we the McCoy’s and others like us have the privilege to serve our Lord and his people in a full time all the time capacity. We don’t take that lightly or as an entitlement of some kind. We have worked in the world system and regular jobs and know the difficulties and sacrifices you face and endure. Because of you we can just stay after the kingdom work day after day.
September was a non-stop and around the clock kind of month. Our church project was coming up on the bank deadline for completion and we had to give them a date. We wanted to finish sooner than necessary to allow some wiggle room for the things that always happen at the end. We worked at it with all we had as did several other families. There were a couple of major projects needed doing and the clock was running out. At the last minute we got all the handrails installed on the stairs and the ceiling panels on the drive thru done. The site contractor got all of the dirt work done and paving and parking and the stripping all painted.
All the final inspections were scheduled and only a few small items had to be corrected before we passed everything. We applied for our certificate of occupancy and got it on the 17th. The furniture was all installed in the next few days and a dedication prayer service. The first service took place on the 20th and the grand opening will be on Oct 4th. Woohoo!!! This one is done for now. No more tiny storefront with no room for much of anything besides Sunday school and service. It’s been awesome to play a part in the growth of this church and watch God work through his people and provide everything needed and all in his timing. This is the 2nd church this year that we helped build their own and get moved in. We still have 2 more we are helping with and need to finish hopefully by the end of the year. We have been in contact with 2 more churches that are asking for our help with their buildings in the near future. We can give in those areas and count it a privilege to help the churches move forward.
After finishing the building and getting the CO we were given an all-expense paid Caribbean cruise. We have never taken a vacation but always visited family or did some kind of mission work if time permitted. We did enjoy ourselves and are very grateful to the family that gave in this area to be a huge blessing to us. We were able to raise some additional funds too allowing us to start framing in the exterior walls on our training/disaster relief building. Now that the church is all done, we need room for supplies and equipment for the disaster work that will be happening real soon in our neck of the woods. With that we have 2 deliveries to make in the next few weeks. One will be sent to a missionary in Jamaica and the other to a church in Cuba. Thank you all again for standing with us for the furtherance of the gospel and God’s glory.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
