The Mortensons in Honduras

October 2021

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. It is a true privilege to be partnered together to further the Gospel. This past month has been good and has had its challenges, but God has been faithful as He always is.

September was a full month in a lot of ways: preaching, teaching and discipling, all vital parts of fulfilling the great commission of our Lord, and all glory goes to Him. On September 15th, Honduras celebrated its 200th Independence Day, and I had the privilege of preaching during our special patriotic service. I preached a message on our responsibilities as dual citizens of our earthly home and our heavenly home.

In September we have also been dealing with some health issues. First, Grant had two fainting spells, but from the test that were run it looks like we only needed to change a few things diet and hydration wise and he is doing a lot better. Also, over the course of a week, a 24hr stomach bug that went through the family. Thankfully everyone is feeling better from that as well. Lastly, Cori has been struggling with an asthma flare-up that has been ongoing for about 3 weeks. With the medication she has the doctor has not recommended any changes per-se, but she is still struggling daily. Please pray for the Lord’s hand of healing.

  • Continued growth in our Spanish speaking abilities.
  • Continued spiritual growth in the church family.
  • God’s touch of healing with Cori’s Asthma.
  • For more Hondurans to trust Christ as their Savior.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers,
Nate and Cori, with Mykenzie, Grant, Blake and Savanna
