Dear Family and Friends,
God has been so good to us in so many ways. We want to thank Him for all of His blessings. This month has been busy, but all of the busyness has meant that we are one step closer to the routines of life being back to normal after the strange year of 2020. Last year in March the government restrictions came out putting most of our ministries on hold. One of those ministries was our weekly Saturday morning Bible club. While technology enabled us to switch gears and minister in new ways, it can never replace the blessings that can be found in face to face interaction. We have been looking forward to restarting Bible clubs for a while now and have been thrilled with the attendance each week since we started again. The first week of May I stopped by the neighborhood field that we have used so that I could talk with the man who takes care of it. When I pulled up, many of the neighborhood children ran out to meet me and immediately asked when club would start. Even though this park is very close to our church many of these families have only ever come to church for special events and so we are thrilled to be able to go to where these children are and share the Word of God and the love of Christ with them. It is our prayer that these children will understand the gospel early in their lives.
The summer months here are quite busy normally and we are excited for the opportunities that visiting groups afford us. The biggest of these opportunities comes in the form of our partnership with Medical Missions Outreach. There is much planning that goes into hosting this group for the clinic which will be the first full week of July. We will have a general clinic which will see patients for both general medicine and optical needs. And at the same time there will also be a surgical group who will be performing surgeries (mostly outpatient). Needless to say it will be a busy time, but we look forward to the opportunity to present the Gospel to the many people who will come. Please be in prayer with us for wisdom in planning, but most importantly, for receptive hearts as well.
- For the Lord to help us continue to grow in our Spanish speaking abilities, and be able to better minister for the Lord
- For continued spiritual growth in our church family
- For continued tenderness to the Gospel, and that people would turn to Christ
- For wisdom in planning for the Upcoming Medical Outreach
