Luke 10:2
Therefore said he onto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send fourth laborers into his harvest.

The harvest, Lord of the harvest, his harvest – you and I are the laborers set forth together, every born-again believer playing a part in the gospel effort and no part insignificant. Some plant, some water, some pull weeds, some scare off the crows, but every laborer essential. We are grateful for every partner we have and count it our privilege to serve with you for our Lord Jesus Christ.

July was good and hot and super busy. We started out going door to door on church wide visitation. The church is growing like crazy and has seen 61 souls saved so far this year through door knocking, bus ministry, retirement home ministry, and plain old Bible preaching. No programs, no gimmicks, no giveaways, just old-fashioned hard work getting the gospel to those in our reach. God is still in the saving business! Amen.

We celebrated Independence Day in Branford, Florida with a day at the festival and food and fireworks. We got out a lot of tracks and had some good one-on-one conversations in the shade. Ha ha.

As we continue to keep the work alive in Costa Rica we sponsored 10 teenagers to Campo Gozo in Palmeras Costa Rica and three were saved. Some of the campers are also very interested in the training center and wanting to learn a trade they can use for the Lord. Most of the young people serving in the churches there are products of this camp. We also had the privilege to send funds to Iglesia Bautista de Villarreal and Iglesia Bautista Abril 27 for their youth rally and they saw 75 young people saved over a few days. We met these two pastors during a flood disaster and have been real close to them ever since. They are church planters and are very busy in these communities with ongoing efforts to help with food and basic needs for the flood affected areas. Helping with physical needs has opened many doors to share the gospel with people once those relationships are built.

Bethany went to team camp at three notch Baptist camp in Eufaula, Alabama. There she made some personal decisions with her walk with the Lord and wants to pray more and read her Bible more and be more active in her Lord’s service. She and Jon both are becoming quite the servants and are both now in church choir. Kevin got to teach the church men on the safety and security team and go with them out to a range day. Our church had a one-day all in VBS with a western theme and saw one young person saved that day.

Our family traveled to Crestview, Florida and served alongside Swan aviation ministries in their weeklong aviation team camp. The teens learned to fly in a flight simulator and then each got to go up with a pilot in one of six airplanes and got to fly the plane for a portion of the flight. They had two Bible devotions each day and preaching at night by an area local pastor. They learned search and rescue, first aid and CPR and AED, and basic firefighting. Each camper had to perform the tasks learned in the classroom in a mock up, simulated crash site in the woods. We were able to be kitchen crew, counselors, do a devotion, and whatever else came up, in addition to all of the instruction. We saw two teens saved and several more came forward and were counseled but were not ready to receive Christ right then. Better to wait than to just get a repeat prayer and a false salvation.

Our church building project has been pretty slow – lots of roadblocks and hoops to jump through with local officials and utility companies. Our prefab metal building package is being delivered August 24th so we are hoping to have the slab poured soon. We still need to raise about $40,000 to have the building in the dry and be debt- free.

So far this year not much is going on with disasters. We are over two months into the hurricane season with all being quiet. There are ongoing works in Ukraine and India and medical missions teams frequently and just this morning hearing of major flooding issues in Kentucky. We are currently putting together a plan and will be deploying to Kentucky in the coming week or so, with Operation Renewed Hope. Several churches in the affected area have called and need help with food and water distribution and damage assessment. Later work teams will be needed for cleanup efforts and rebuilding that will be on going. If your church has a group of men that could rough it with no power or internet and would be willing to help in any way please contact us.

And, again, many thanks to each of you for your prayers, your giving, and your overall faithfulness in this partnership. You play a major part in everything we are a part of.

In Christ, Kevin, Sonya, Bethany, and Jon McCoy
