The Fredericks’ Feb. 2019 Letter

February 2019

Dear praying partners,
Happy Chinese New Year and welcome to the year of the pig!

Ministry: We continue in equipping the church for the work of the ministry. We do church wide evangelistic outreach via tract distribution as well as checking blood pressure at a local market. The blood pressure evangelism has been great in that we get a chance to converse with people one on one for an extended period. None have been saved, but the Gospel has been clearly presented to many.

Bible Institute: The students are making good progress in the institute. While we are on furlough, we will have an additional three block classes to keep everyone busy while we are in the states. The block classes will include Christian Ethics, Introduction to Counseling, as well as the Biblical Canon. The online school is making progress slowly but surely. You can see the school at chiwitmai.net. We have two more courses almost ready to be uploaded to bring our total to four courses. This is a long-range program, but one that I feel will bear much fruit in the future.

Furlough: As you receive this letter, we will likely already be in the USA. Our schedule is set and busy. In addition to visiting family, we will be reporting to about 15 supporting churches and visiting two new churches. It is such a privilege to represent so many ministries in Thailand and we are thankful for each supporter.

Please pray for: Traveling mercies, salvation for a man who still comes regularly (three years this Christmas), Hannah (our youngest daughter) for her college school bill and her university studies (she finishes in May), wisdom in ministry matters, results of outreach and for a young lady in our church who continues to struggle spiritually but is doing better (names are not included for privacy reasons; I hope you understand).

In closing, Frances and I want to express our sincerest thanks for your partnership in our ministry. Your faithful prayers and financial support allow the Thai people to hear the Gospel that sets men free. Thailand is a difficult field, but the Lord is working and by His grace, we will continue to sow the seeds of the Gospel so that one day there might be a great harvest in Thailand.

For Christ in Thailand,
Mike & Francis Frederick
